Calling all Philly makers!

We are excited to let you know that another Maker Celebration is happening on December 14, 2013 from 11:00-3:00 in the lobby of the Parkway Central Library! We have 25 tables open for makers of all ages and affiliations to demo and show off their creations. Apply today, applications are due November 27th. Preference will be given to exhibitors who have a hands-on activity for attendees.

The Free Library of Philadelphia hosted a Maker Celebration in August as part of the Maker Ed Initiative and a Project:Connect grant. The event featured over 50 youth and adults Makers from across Philadelphia, as well as over 200 attendees. We’re excited to be part of and support the maker movement in Philly, and can’t wait to see what you’ve been making!

This project is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Corbett, Governor.
